So you have already taken LESSON #01, what next? In this 3 hour course we will cover 3 further topics of Sourdough Bread Making. We will look at
- WORKING WITH DIFFERENT FLOURS AND COMBINATIONS
- MAKING 3 DIFFERENT ENRICHED LOAVES WITH ADDED INGREDIENTS SUCH AS MUSHROOMS, FRESH HERBS, CHEESES, DRIED FRUITS
- DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SHAPING TECHNIQUES
- ADVANCED LEVAIN CULTURE TECHNIQUES
- TROUBLESHOOT YOUR BREAD MAKING AND YOUR LEVAIN
It's a prerequisite that you have already taken LESSON #01, as this lesson is fast paced and heavy on details.
Realistically you will walk away from this lesson with a book full of information and practical skills. You will be taking copious notes but a new, in depth handout will be also provided. We will base the lesson around the techniques we used in LESSON #01 BASIC SOURDOUGHS , serving as a brief refresher on what you lend along with troubleshooting problems you have encountered on your bread journey. You can even bring in your Leaven to check how it's looking. At the end of the lesson you will be taking home an Enriched Loaf to bake at home, alongside tasters of 3 Enriched loaves we will have baked on the day.
After this class you will be baking unbelievable bread, at home for <$1 a loaf, with a minimal amount of mess, and minimal equipment.
Nik will be teaching of course, and the bread classes normally will be taking place at the loft location.
